The Redbook

Exploring the Redbook is an artist guide app that contains a part journal, part mythological novel called, "The Red Book". The goal was to successfully transform the print-based book to a digital medium that provides more accessible and easy to navigate environment to the users.

Our challenge was how to create a clear layout system (Orbital) that could displays 404 pages of the book with 1500 editorial notes and 279 illustrations in a very organized and easy-to-navigate way.

As an artist guide app, our top priority was making sure that users

could access the main information and additional information quickly and easily.

Inspirational

Providing as diverse illustrations as possible in a short moment of time to the users was an important purpose of Exploring the Red Book.

Visual Deisign

Randomly generated illustrations give users a little unexpected surprise.

User Friendly

Since there was massive amount of content inside the book, sorting them out in a clear layout system was the biggest challenge.
