Problems

KORINY’s new customers stay on KORINY website for less than 1 minute. Furthermore, only 16% of these customers visited KORINY again.

Key Insights

By conducting research about KORINY's user behavior, collecting data and studying other real estate firms' researches, I quickly realized users' drop off points. These insights helped me determined how to approach MVP solutions.

Most users drop off KORINY's website during the search process. (77%)

Other users drop off the website from the landing page because of the unattractive content. (24%)

Half of KORINY's online customers are from

South Korea or South Korean IPs. (50%)

Goal

After talking with their marketing and strategy teams, we set the goal to increase the user spent time from 1 minute to 2 minutes by improving the UI/UX of their website.

Solutions

01.

Simplify the current

search experience.

02.

Create User-focused feeds based on user's behavior history.

03.

Create a strong brand identity and visual language.

Design Solutions

To ensure that I'd achieve my goals by the end of my design process, I came up with several interactions that correspond with each one.

01. Search Experience

Creating a streamlined search experience was key in improving user retention.

My design aimed to provide an entertaining and simple search experience for the user.

02. User-focused Feeds

KORINY's user hitmaps explain that quite a lot of users (24%) drop off the landing page.

The new landing page will include more interesting and sympathetic feeds, such as "Since you searched studios in Manhattan...."

03. Visual Identity

Lastly, I created a simple, yet consistent design system that can easily adapt to mobile, web, and other screens as KORINY’s grows.
