Problems
1. Although furniture companies provide instructions, they are not real photos, but simple illustrations, which does not effectively convey all the assembly steps clearly.
2. Unclear instructions naturally take longer than it should be, and eventually customers would be tired and exhausted by wasting their time and days.
3. Customers end up spending extra money on hiring technicians to assemble their furniture.
Solution
These limitations and obstacles raise barriers to entry and make existing customers hesitate to buy self-assembly furniture. To solve these negative aspects, IKEA Assembler was built to minimize obstacles such as complex assembly process, time-consuming and unclear instructions.
Idea Sketches
We wanted to create an environment where we can play with assembling furniture.
